BSG Chemie Leipzig has earned 10 points in their last 4 games; 3 wins and 1 draw. Recently, Chemie defeated Meuselwitz 2-0 at home with goals from Merkel and Kind (Stelmak assisted). Next, Chemie will travel to Nordhausen to hopefully continue their streak.

Comeback Draw

BSG Chemie Leipzig came back from a two goal deficit to tie the game 2-2. Second half goals were scored by Merkel and Yajima, one after another. Chemie was more dangerous in the second half and were creating chance after chance. Unfortunately, they could score the third goal to win all three points.

Tough Start

It has been a tough start in the new Regionalliga campaign for BSG Chemie Leipzig. They suffered a 4-0 defeat in Babelsberg. With a promising style of play in the first half, Leipzig made a few errors in the second half.  Three goals were then scored by Babelsberg in the last 10 minutes.

BSG Chemie Leipzig will host Bautzen this Sunday at 1:30 pm.

Test Match Win

BSG Chemie Leipzig hosted Markkleeberg Kickers for their second test match. Chemie Leipzig won 9-0 after leading 3-0 at the half. Stelmak was a second half substitute who helped contribute 2 goals and 2 assists. The third and final test match will be Tuesday before the league matches resume this upcoming weekend.

Charity Match

BSG Chemie Leipzig traveled to Munich this past weekend for a test match against TSV 1860 Munich. Chemie Leipzig received a percentage of the proceeds to restore stadium lights for their home field. It was a Stelmak and Merkel’s first game with BSG Cheme Leipzig since joining the club one week ago.  Leipzig lost 1-0 and will look to improve the next few weeks with 3 more test matches before the league matches resume January 28th.
